Goals and results

The Tsinandali Estate is one of Georgia's most culturally significant sites, home to the 19th-century botanical garden of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze. Developing the modern Radisson Collection hotel within this protected historical zone required the highest level of responsibility. The main challenge was to introduce contemporary luxury without disrupting the unique biodiversity and romantic atmosphere of the ancient park.

The landscape concept focused on "dissolving" the boundaries between the new hotel structure and the surrounding nature. Our task was to support the architects' vision of a "green facade" and ensure the new plantings mirrored the diverse, exotic collection of the original arboretum. Through careful boutique hotel garden design, our goal was to make the hotel feel like an organic extension of the forest rather than a separate building.

Sarti Flora played a key role in supplying and installing vegetation that meets the estate's rigorous standards. We provided large-specimen trees and climbing plants essential for the building's vertical greening, matching the scale of the existing mature landscape. Executing such complex resort landscape architecture required delicate manual work to protect the historic soil and the root systems of the centuries-old trees nearby.

The Radisson Tsinandali is now cited as a benchmark for sustainable luxury in the Caucasus. The landscaping does not just decorate the hotel; it anchors it into history. By providing premium hospitality landscaping, guests enjoying the infinity pool or the courtyard are immersed in a seamless sea of green, proving that modern luxury and heritage conservation can coexist perfectly.
